My name is David Reinus and I am the owner of David Reinus CPA, Inc., an accounting firm located in Thousand Oaks, California. My firm specializes in the accounting, tax, and consulting needs of small to medium-sized businesses and their owners. We also offer payroll processing services to our clients and other businesses. Prior to that I was the Director of Business Operations - Western Region for Becker Professional Review, a company that offers exam preparation courses for the CPA exam. I taught for Becker from 1991 through 2013, the first 11 years in the classroom and the rest online. Prior to working for Becker, I worked in public accounting for 21 years, 13 of those as a sole practitioner and 8 years with a large local CPA firm located in Los Angeles. I have been with UCLA Extension since July 2004 teaching courses in Intermediate Accounting, Advanced Accounting, Taxation, and Ethics in Accounting. In addition to the above, I continue to give presentations to university classes regarding the CPA exam, its contents, and the requirements to sit for the exam and become licensed. Finally, I am an author and test writer for the California Professional Ethics Course that is given to all CPA candidates as the last step in the licensure process. I earned my BA in Economics from UCLA in 1978 and received my CPA certificate from California in 1980. In addition, I have an MBA from the Keller Graduate School of Management, a degree earned by taking all of my 16 classes online. Coupled with my online teaching experience, I have seen this instructional venue from both sides of the table.
