DeAnna Vega
DeAnna Vega is a dedicated educator with 20 plus years of experience in the field of horticulture and agriculture. Ms. Vega has been a landscape designer, landscape foreman/developer, head of department for plant production and beneficial organisms, and a pest control advisor (PCA). She has had the privilege of working and collaborating with various universities within California and worked for the University of California Agricultural and Natural Resources (UC ANR) where she assisted and lead research concerning landscape management, phytopathology, soil health, controlled burns, climate ready tree studies, arboriculture, plant and pollinator relations, entomology, invasive species, composting, mulch, soil & plant nutrition, and more.
With an M.S. in Agriculture, Plant Science, she has been invited and presented at multiple conferences and conventions within the landscape and plant health industry. She has a passion for horticulture, a commitment to her students and industry, and dedication to the community. She truly enjoys teaching and learning and hopes to aid her students in finding or excelling in their own careers, personal goals, and passions.
