Deborah Meng
My name is Deborah Meng, and I will be your instructor for the “Writing and Presenting a Credit Analysis” online course. I have been in banking for 21 years with an extensive experience in risk management, lending, and credit. Currently, I am working for the Federal Reserve Bank, San Francisco under the Large Bank Organization. Prior to that, I was the Chief Risk Officer for a commercial bank. I also worked as the Head of Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises for an international bank where I enjoyed reviewing and approving credit requests for all kinds of commercial loan transactions. Prior to becoming a banker, I worked as a bank examiner for the FDIC, and part of my job was to evaluate banks’ loan/credit decisions. I earned two MBAs: one from Columbia University in NY and one from University Of California in Berkeley. I also completed the graduate banking school at University of Washington. I was a board member of the Los Angeles chapter of the Risk Management Association (RMA). I look forward to sharing my experience, knowledge, and ideas and hope the 12-week course will be an informative and enjoyable journey for all participants.
