Erik Deutsch

Erik Deutsch – Principal, ExcelPR Group. Erik has developed award-winning campaigns for clients ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies, with an emphasis on technology-related fields including digital media, mobile and biotech. Prior to launching ExcelPR Group in 2004, he worked on staff and as a consultant for some of the world's largest PR agencies including Edelman Worldwide, Manning, Selvage & Lee and Porter/Novelli. His online roots date back to 1995, when he helped launch Interactive PR News as the first national newsletter on new media for PR pros (acquired by Phillips Business Information – now Access Intelligence). For more than two decades he has been fascinated by PR’s evolution in the digital era. An active industry advocate, Erik is immediate past-president of the Public Relations Society of America, Los Angeles Chapter (PRSA-LA), which serves as the voice for PR professionals across the L.A. region. As 2014 president, he guided a 25-member board of directors, launched new digital initiatives and oversaw a 15 percent surge in membership. He is also a featured speaker at PR and digital media events including SXSWi, Digital Hollywood, BlogWorld/NMX, Social Media Club, L.A and Internet Week NYC.
