Hannah Dennison
Instructor Biography:
author of the bestselling Vicky Hill mystery series (Berkley Prime Crime/Penguin USA and Constable & Robinson/UK) and Murder at Honeychurch Hall, the first book in her new series (Minotaur/US and Constable & Robinson/UK).
Instructor Statement:
John Lennon famously said “Life is what happens to you when you’re busy making other plans.” How many of us are guilty of believing we’ll start or finish writing that book once we’ve painted the house, the kids have left for college, or we’ve retired? Maybe you feel so frustrated that you’ll never find time to write the Great American novel so you may as well give up…but you can’t. It’s calling to you from your heart or your bottom drawer. I truly believe that if you are willing to commit to a minimum of just fifteen minutes a day, regardless of your personal circumstances, you can make wishful thinking become a reality. I hope to inspire and ignite those dreams as we open Pandora’s box, not just to unleash those stories that are dying to be told, but creating time and space to write and creating discipline forming habits.
Our Students Say it Best!
“Hannah is very clear at explaining elements of writing mysteries. She is patient and listens well. I get a sense that she enjoys teaching. This makes the seminar very pleasant.” — Writers’ Program Student
