Heath's career in the film industry began over 20 years ago, producing and directing the super 16mm short film Confessions. Three months later he produced his first feature film. Since that time he has produced over a dozen feature films showcased in over 100 festivals, sold to major distributors, and exploited across the globe. His films have starred Oscar-winning and nominated actors as well as Emmy and Tony recipients. Highlights include the indie darling Coming Through the Rye (Chris Cooper, Alex Wolff, Stefania LaVie Owen), Swing Low aka Ravage (Bruce Dern, Annabelle Dexter-Jones), The Jailhouse (C Thomas Howell) and Oy Vey! My Son is Gay! (Lainie Kazan, Saul Rubinek, John Llyod Young, Jai Rodriguez). Current projects include Wicked Game (currently in post) and Black Balsam (directorial debut/co writer - also in post). Heath is in active development with four additional features to be shot in the next 12 months. He is also a proud member of the Producers Guild of America. In addition to producing and directing, Heath also serves as a cinematographer on narrative feature films and commercial content including the Lionsgate film The Penthouse. Heath teaches cinematography at Georgia State University in Atlanta as well as producing at UCLA.
