Instructor Bio:

Television writer, WGA and TAG member, whose credits include NBC’s Grimm and Cartoon Network’s Unikitty! Most recently, he was staffed on the animated Y.A. series WondLa for Apple TV+ and helped develop the Stranger Things animated series for Netflix. He is the co-writer of the Grimm comic book series.

Instructor Statement:

People are natural storytellers. The problem is putting that story to paper often feels like an insurmountable task requiring some kind of arcane magic. As much as we’d like people to believe we’re all word warlocks, any writer can tell you there is no black magic involved (exactly what a word warlock would say). My job is to the lift the veil on the writing process by giving you the tools to close the gap between what you see in your head and what you put on the page. The real secret is: writing is a trade like any other. Talent helps but all you really need is a willingness to learn, to accept constructive criticism and to rewrite until oblivion. I want you to leave with the ability to write your stories how you want and the confidence to share them with the world however you choose.
