Laura Razo

I have over 15 years of professional experience as a landscape designer and project manager working in diverse environments such as municipalities, small boutique style, mid-sized, and large multi-disciplinary firms. The range of projects includes parks, schools, playgrounds, urban spaces, sports fields, streetscape, housing development, residential, nature trails, and transportation projects. Core to my strengths are the diverse knowledge, skills and abilities in conceptual design, design development, construction documentation, submittal packages, and understanding the complex processes within a project as well as meeting scheduled deadlines. Recent skills include landscape planning, Transit Oriented Development (TOD), alternate transportation, and regenerative gardens: native, pollinator, and ethnobotanical gardens, water capture, food production, water conservations, promotion of wildlife, and wildfire prevention all of which deal with regenerative systems.   I have a Bachelors of Science in Landscape Architecture (BSLA) and a Masters in Landscape Architecture (MLA) from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. I am currently working on a Masters of Science in Regenerative Studies also from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. As an instructor, mentor and trainer, throughout my career, working with various types of software while offering landscape architecture workshops and providing insight and guidance to the preparation of schematic, construction, and submittal packages has been quite rewarding.
