Leslie Shapiro Joyal

Leslie Shapiro Joyal is the founder of Shapiro Joyal studio, an interior and furniture design firm located in the heart of Los Angeles. Leslie brings broad experience in the fields of art, architecture, interior and furniture design. In 2016, she was nominated (and shortlisted as a finalist) for ASID’s Design Innovation Award, an award that recognizes individuals or companies that have made lasting and significant contributions to the body of knowledge that supports the profession of interior design. She has worked with exceptional talents in the industry, including Jack Lenor Larsen, Kerry Joyce, Franklin Israel and Annie Chu. She has been featured in numerous publications and podcasts, including INTERIORS Magazine, The Los Angeles Times, and (cover) Sunset Magazine. In 2015, she sat down with Frances Anderton of KCRW’s DnA radio show to discuss her work, and a short documentary film by Eric Minh Swenson was recently released on her collaboration and exhibition with David Alexis Wade, a protege of the legendary woodworker Sam Maloof.
