Mark Jocson

Mr. Jocson is a senior executive with 18 years experience working at Sony, Disney, and Viki. Most recently he was Senior Vice President, Business Development and Strategic Initiatives for Rakuten Viki, a streaming video service and digital media company. Prior to Viki he was Senior Vice President, Digital Media and Games for Sony Pictures Television Networks (SPTN). There he expanded and streamlined the consumer facing digital infrastructure, led the team to produce the award-winning second screen application for the TV series Hannibal on the AXN Networks, ushered SPTN into the subscription VOD market for the first time with Animax in the U.K., launched TV Everywhere services in Latin America on Canal Sony and AXN and created a streaming service for Korean Dramas on the ONE TV Network website in Southeast Asia. As head of mobile games for SPTN he was responsible for a top mobile game publishing studio with high profile titles such as Jeopardy! andAmerica’s Game® Wheel of Fortune. Previous to Sony Mr. Jocson joined The Walt Disney Company in 1999 where he led the Emmy® Award winning Digital Media team at Disney Channel as Director, Content Development and was responsible for product development for the no. 1 TV entertainment website DisneyChannel.com. His leadership led the Network to win the 2008 Primetime Emmy® Award forOutstanding Interactive Media Non-Fiction for Disney Channel Games 2007. And in the previous year he led the team which launched the first full-length video streaming service on DisneyChannel.com, which was honored as a finalist for the 2007 Emmy® Award for Achievement in Interactive Television. He also spearheaded the development of the official “High School Musical 1 & 2” and “Hannah Montana” websites, the first ever Disney user-generated video site for children under 13 and countless other original content for DisneyChannel.com worldwide. Jocson is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and Producers Guild of America. He graduated from University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor of Arts degree and holds a Master of Arts degree from New York University, Tisch School of the Arts.
