Perla Hernandez Lastra’s experience in the construction industry spans over 18 years, including many multi-million dollar projects across diverse market segments – hospitality, entertainment/sports, retail, healthcare, education, non-profit, and the arts. As an Owner’s Representative/Senior Project Manager, Perla represents clients in both the public and private sectors. She thrives in creating a culture of excellence, transparency, efficiency, and innovation. Perla is a LEED Accredited, OSHA 30-Hour, and CPR/First Aid certified professional. She is a member of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), Engineers for a Sustainable World (ESW), and the Social Economic Environmental Design (SEED) Network. She serves as a board member for the Boys and Girls Club of Long Beach, and a heart angel for Corazón de Vida. Perla holds a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering as well as a Master’s of Engineering Management (with a concentration in entrepreneurship and sustainable development) from Cornell University. Perla was a recipient of the 2017 Pacific Coast Business Times Latino Business awards under the Construction & Commercial Real Estate category, and the prestigious 2018 ENR California Top Young Professionals award.
