Rossana Astraquillo

Rossana Manrique-Astraquillo is a dedicated educator with a strong passion for teaching young children. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of the East in the Philippines and later completed her master’s degree in teaching with a focus on Early Childhood Education at National University in California.

With over 27 years of experience, she has worked as an Elementary Teacher for 4 years and spent 9 years as a Preschool/Head Teacher in private schools. For the last 14 years, she has been an Early Education Teacher and Head Teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District.

In addition to her teaching roles, she has mentored students working on their teaching credentials as a UCLA IMPACT mentor teacher. She is committed to creating a supportive and engaging learning environment for all students. Since 2019, she has served as an Early Childhood Education Principal, making a positive impact in the educational community.

As an Early Childhood Education Principal Astraquillo has several important responsibilities:

Professional Development: She organizes training sessions for teachers, staff, and parents to help them support children's learning.

Student Safety: She ensures a safe learning environment by following necessary regulations.

Curriculum Oversight: She oversees the curriculum to meet the needs of young learners.

Community Engagement: She builds strong relationships with parents and the community to encourage their involvement in school activities.

Leadership: She leads a team of educators, providing guidance to improve teaching practices and student outcomes.

Through her hard work and leadership, Principal Astraquillo inspires both her staff and students, leaving a lasting impact in early childhood education.
