Todd Davidson

Todd Davidson, J.D., P.F.P., is the owner of Davidson Financial Planning. He has over 42 years of financial services experience, initially as an attorney, then tax/operations director for a subsidiary of a Fortune 500 company, and for the last 25 years, owner of Davidson Financial Planning. He founded his firm based on the philosophy that educating his clients empowers them to make better informed decisions. Davidson Financial Planning emphasizes comprehensive financial planning concepts, specializing in the areas of independent third party investment managers, retirement planning, and estate planning. His background as an attorney, financial planner and teacher enables him to more fully understand his clients’ objectives and their specific goals. Mr. Davidson is a Registered Securities Representative with Royal Alliance Associates, Inc. and has a California Life Insurance License. He is a member of several financial industry advisory boards. Mr. Davidson holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from California State University, Northridge, and a Juris Doctor from Southwestern University School of Law, Los Angeles. He has been a member of the California Bar since 1977, changing to inactive status in 2009. He received the Personal Financial Planning (PFP) designation from UCLA, and currently teaches its foundation course, "Survey of Personal Financial Planning." He also teaches a course entitled "Mastering Your Personal Finances”, and has developed and taught numerous other seminars at UCLA. In 2013, he received the UCLA Extension Distinguished Instructor Award for exemplary teaching, and a record of consistent excellence that fosters learning for renewal, advancement, discovery and community amongst his students. He is often sought out to speak at seminars and is frequently consulted as a reference source.
