Abby Kuskin Interior Design is a Los Angeles–based studio working across high-end residential, hospitality, and international projects. The firm’s work is rooted in creating layered, highly considered spaces that feel both refined and lived-in- balancing natural materials, strong architectural moves, and a curated approach to furnishings and art. Current projects span Los Angeles, Aspen, and Mexico.

Position: Design Assistant / Interior Design Intern (Paid)
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Design Assistant to support the studio across all phases of the design process. This role is hands-on and ideal for someone looking to gain real-world experience in a fast-paced, design-driven environment.  We are a small but busy firm with some incredible projects, and we work really hard to get things done and do amazing, creative work.  We are looking for someone who doesn’t need a ton of hand-holding, has impeccable taste and is confident in themselves and their work.  Currently, we are looking for a part time assistant/intern, but this could very easily turn into a full time role if we align.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and manage material samples and library
  • Source materials and visit showrooms at the Pacific Design Center
  • Assist with presentation development (InDesign, layouts, material boards)
  • Support design development through research and optioning
  • Assist with basic drawings and 3D modeling

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Interior Design program
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Visually driven with a strong design sensibility
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn
  • Compensation is $20-$24/hour depending on experience
