Interior Design Assistant - Mimi Shin Design and Interiors

Mimi Shin Design & Interiors specializes in high-end residential and commercial design for creatives wanting an elevated environment that feels wholly unique and original to each client and location. With a degree in art history from Smith, followed by a decade in fashion editorial at Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar and a Masters in Architecture at UCLA learning about the newest technologies available to building, Shin is thoughtful and considered in her approach with an emphasis on design as an expression of culture and time. Each project is an opportunity to explore a different visual language unique to the time, place, and individual.

We are looking for a proactive, highly organized and communicative individual to get inside a growing design practice that is rooted heavily in fashion and architecture. We are looking for someone excited to learn about all facets of interior design by contributing to administrative and communication related aspects of the job. This is an entry level position. Working to support the team through all stages of the design process from communicating with fabric showrooms, creating industry standard software to propose ideas and pieces to clients all the way through procurement.

This job is part time freelance and flexible with in and out of office combination. Studio design software experience is helpful, but not necessary but willingness to learn is tantamount.
