About This Course
In this course, we read and discuss the works of three dynamic women who have brought essential leadership and insight to our contemporary era. Jane Goodall, "the world's preeminent chimpanzee expert" and a UN Messenger of Peace, writes about her four pillars of hope in The Book of Hope, which has been called a survival guide for trying times. Gloria Steinem, international trailblazer for women’s consciousness, writes about her life of travel and activism in My Life on the Road. And Isabel Allende, novelist and feminist, offers a lucid presentation of the evolving impact women are having on society in The Soul of a Woman.
