The November 2026 Election

This course provides a detailed investigation into the upcoming elections on November 3, spanning from federal contests to municipal elections. We analyze the high-stakes races for the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives before shifting to California’s contests: the gubernatorial race, competitive statewide offices, and key legislative battles that will shape the future of the state. In addition to state candidate races, we examine state and local ballot measures and local candidate elections, including those in the City of Los Angeles. Each session is divided into two parts: a guest speaker for an hour and class discussion for the other half. This course will be recorded. Students will have access to videos for the duration of the course.
