About This Course

Morocco is a North African country known for its dramatic blend of Arab, Berber, and French influences, featuring vibrant cities, bustling medinas (city centers), and colorful architecture. It is also celebrated for its rich craft traditions, particularly zellige (intricate mosaic tilework), carved plaster, and ornamental calligraphy. In this course, we explore iconic structures such as mosques, palaces, and kasbahs, examining Moroccan culture through its diverse artistic influences and tracking its profound impact on Spanish Andalusian and Spanish Colonial design. This course will be recorded. Students will have access to videos for 30 days.
