Certificates and Specializations

The My Certificates and Specializations link on your Student Portal can help you monitor your academic progress. Once you have completed your final courses, reach out to Student Advising (advising@uclaextension.edu) to request an audit of your certificate and/or specialization program requirements. Indicate the nature of your request and the name of your certificate in the subject line (e.g. Audit Request, Joe Bruin, Certificate in Marketing).

Timeline: Audit requests are typically fulfilled in weeks 4 to 8 of the quarter, and take 2 to 5 business days to complete, depending on the volume and complexity of audits received.

Status Update Requests: Upon emailing your request, you will receive an auto-response and a ticket number. If you do not hear from the Student Advising team within 5 business days, please respond to the email with the auto-response that gave you a ticket number, instead of starting a new request.

You will be notified of the timeline for delivery once your award is posted to your transcript. Please note that standard USPS may take up to four weeks to arrive.*

Earned with Distinction
Students who complete their academic certificate programs with a GPA of 3.5 or higher have the honor “Earned with Distinction” cited on their certificate and posted to their academic transcript.
