About this course:

This course presents the molecular and cellular principles underlying immunologic processes in the body. Topics include innate immunity, adaptive immunity, antigen recognition, antibodies, immunological tolerance, and hypersensitivity. Special emphasis is placed on pathological conditions and their causes and treatments. Instruction provides an understanding of nonspecific immunological responses, cell-cell interactions, cell receptors, antibodies, hypersensitivities, autoimmune diseases, specific immunological responses, and cells of the immune system and their function.
