About This Course

Often students who are sophisticated readers gravitate towards creating manuscripts that are at the intersection of different genres. This brief 3-hour workshop is designed to be suitable for both beginning and advanced writers alike. Students will learn tips and techniques to keep in mind as they shape and sequence a new evolved manuscript and consider which genre rules to retain and which creative genre guidelines should be reshaped. Class will offer several in-class writing exercises and fun writing prompts. Take home prompts for continuing writing practice will also be shared with the students.
