About This Course

This course offers students an opportunity to focus on reaching their writing goals without the stress or anxiety of critique and workshops. Over the course of 10 weeks, students check-in weekly to describe their progress and their struggles with their project, receiving encouragement from a seasoned instructor and enthusiastic support from their classmates. Each week, instructors provide motivational tools, best practices, and encouragement to better equip each writer with a supportive foundation upon which to complete their work, as well as tools to understand the business side of screenwriting and what to do once they’ve finished their script. There are no assignments due, but weekly motivational and coaching lectures and articles, self-guided exercises to aid your writing, and weekly check-ins help with anything preventing you from achieving your writing goals. By the end of the course, you are closer to your goal and have made meaningful connections with other writers.
