About this course:

UCLA Extension is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 11952, to provide 4 contact hours for this activity. During this course, students will learn basic concepts of COVID-19 epidemiology, specifically as they relate to the duties of case investigators and contact tracers, how to determine the contact elicitation window during a case investigation interview, and identify when to refer individuals or situations to medical, social, or supervisory resources. Upon course completion, learners will be able to respond to frequently asked questions about basic COVID-19 epidemiology that are likely to be encountered during case investigation and contact tracing interviews, confidently read standardized case investigation and contact tracing interview scripts, and facilitate referral to healthcare services and resource care coordination as indicated. Please enroll in only ONE of the open courses under “Review Sections” to ensure space is available to other learners. Prerequisite: Successful completion of the CA-VTA Contact Tracer Curriculum.
