
Introduction to the TESOL Program
This required, first course in the TESOL certificate reviews student scope of work and portfolio assignments, English proficiency requirements, and prepares students for success in completing the certificate.

About this course:
This course prepares the student for success in the TESOL Certificate and the TESOL Portfolio. The course is mandatory and must be taken first in the series. This course gives a clear overview of all that is expected to successfully complete the program. It reviews the entire program, including the scope of work, goals, requirements and portfolio assignments in the four TESOL classes. Expectations for success and time frames are discussed. This course prepares students to save work from each course that will be compiled into a portfolio during the TESOL Practicum Portfolio course. The TESOL certificate is designed to balance current teaching theories and practical experience in second language acquisition instructional methods.Summer 2025 Schedule
