About this course:

Meeting our cybercrime and privacy challenges requires that we build trust. We must build trust in our systems, in our organizations, in our supply chains, and between the public and private sectors. Because we build and manage the technology, trust building is our special responsibility.  Forty years ago, in the dawn of information security, Dr. Stahl brought his mathematics research to the MITRE Corporation where he and Jim Williams published a recursive mathematical specification for trust in an information system. In the years that followed, Dr. Stahl was a security engineer on trusted critical systems for the White House, the Department of Defense, NASA, and others. In the years since, Dr. Stahl built (and sold) an information security management company supporting small and medium-sized businesses. Six years ago, he founded SecureTheVillage to build a trusted community of information security specialists in technology management, law, insurance, law enforcement, education, etc.
