Binil Kandapallil

Dr. Binil Kandapallil finished his Ph.D. from the University of Kerala, India, investigating photophysical properties of chromophore functionalized metal nanoparticles. His post-doctoral research involved customizing quantum dots for in-vitro and in-vivo applications as a Humboldt fellow at the Technical University of Dortmund and at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. With his multi-disciplinary background, Binil started his industrial career at the Global Research Center for General Electric (GE). Binil is currently working for the Boeing Company as a Materials, Process, and Physics Engineer from Southern California. He has the opportunity to utilize his broad experience in leading the design, development and qualification of advanced materials required for commercial as well as defense aerospace applications.  He has over 20 granted US patents and numerous publications.
