Kate Stephenson

Dr. Kate J. Stephenson has over 25 years of practical engineering experience, 20 of which have been devoted to regulated medical products. She is the Principal & Founder of Dyad Engineering, LLC a private technology strategy consulting practice in the medical technology innovation space. She specializes in technical writing, custom education programs and technology due-diligence. Kate has been part of the Silicon Valley ecosystem since 1997 and has a broad network spanning R1 research institutions, incubators, investors, government agencies, service providers and many, many start-ups.  She has been a SBIR grant reviewer for the NIH, an innovation consultant for a F100 Pharma company, and author and blogger for multiple industry and academic publications. 

Dr. Kate holds a B.S. in Engineering (Product Design), an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, all from Stanford University.
