Lisa Smith

Registered Consulting Arborist #464, and owner of The Tree Resource, a Southern California tree-consulting firm.  She began her career in the tree industry over twenty years ago, where she worked for one of the nations largest tree contractors, providing arboricultural programs for some of the largest commercial projects in southern California.  During that time, Ms. Smith was able to work in many arenas of the tree industry, from Installation and Planting, large-scale maintenance, IPM (Integrated Pest Management), and Risk Management for high-profile properties as a Qualified Tree Risk Assessor.  As the owner of The Tree Resource, Ms. Smith has worked with many municipalities and university agencies to provide consultation during construction projects, such as Griffith Park –River Supply Conduit, Echo Park Lake Rehabilitation, UCLA – Graduate Student Housing Project and City of West Hollywood, Santa Monica Boulevard Renovation.  As a Qualified Tree Risk Assessor, Ms. Smith has worked with many private homeowners and municipalities to provide guidance and direction toward reducing potential for hazardous tree situations.  She is currently active within the Western Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture, and serves as President of the Board of Directors.
