Mamun Hashem

With a natural eye for creativity and a diverse professional background, Mamun Hashem works to bridge Art, Architecture, and Interior Design. He has gained professional experience working at not only prestigious corporations such as Gensler, HOK, Westfield, and HNTB but also boutique firms such as Corsini Stark Architects and Studio Mai. His time living in several cities, including Los Angeles, Kansas City, Dallas, and Dhaka, Bangladesh has heavily impacted his creative and professional works.

He has worked on a wide variety of projects, including mix-use, creative offices, financial institutions, amusement parks, outdoor events, and sports architecture. While working at HOK, Mamun led multiple team presentations and created the complete graphics for the Beijing Summer Olympics, 2008. At Gensler, he collaborated with Greg Lynn on the “Gwanggyo New Town” mix-use project in South Korea. A Duty-Free Shop at Midfield Satellite Airport in Los Angeles and two high-end restaurants in the Los Angeles Arts District are some of Mamun’s most recent projects. In his free time, Mamun runs a multicultural creative studio where studio members focus on painting and photography.

Mamun received the Distinguished Instructor Award in 2022 for his outstanding educational contribution at UCLA Extension. Mamun has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Master of Interior Architecture from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with UCLA Extension, Los Angeles.
