Theresa Nelson Chada

Theresa Nelson Chada took an unconventional path to landscape architecture. She was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA where she spent a lot of time outside fascinated by the natural environment. In college, she earned a BS in Biology with an emphasis on Environmental Science from John Carroll University in Cleveland, OH. While working on a project in California, Theresa eventually followed her curiosity about plants and design to the Landscape Architecture program from University of California Los Angeles where she earned her post graduate certificate.

She gained much of her experience under the principals of LA Group Design Works where Theresa learned about the various requirements specific to the City of Los Angeles and its environs. Ms.Chada obtained a lot of hands-on experience with James Dean.

Theresa is a practicing licensed Landscape Architect who works in design, planting and irrigation design. Her 20 years of experience ranges from commercial and residential projects, like master planned communities, public parks, senior living facilities, multi and single family projects with developers and homeowners alike. Ms.Chada is currently the owner/president of TNC Landscape Architecture.
