Event Staffing Volunteers

Event: SOUNDS SWEET Charity Show, hosted by John the Rapper

Date/Time: Saturday, October 3, 2026, sound check 4:00 PM, show 7:00–10:00 PM

Venue: The Visionary Creative Studio, 4108 Crenshaw Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90008 (Leimert Park/Crenshaw District)

Description: A charity concert billed as "the Tiny Desk of Hip-Hop and R&B," featuring an all-Black-women artist lineup (DALI, Mistress of Rap, Wifty Bangura) to spotlight Black women in music. 100% of proceeds benefit Black Women for Wellness (bwwla.org), an LA nonprofit providing maternal health support, food distribution, health/wellness events, advocacy, and voter registration.

Volunteers Needed: We're recruiting student volunteers for event staffing (check-in, setup/breakdown, ushering, etc.) and can offer either course credit or documented volunteer hours if needed.

Expected turnout: 100+ RSVPs
