Full/Part-time: Full-time
Alison Davis Interiors is a growing residential interior design studio based in Hancock Park, Los Angeles. We believe exceptional interiors are rooted in architecture. We value thoughtful restraint over trends, we strive to create timeless homes that become more beautiful with age. Every project is highly collaborative, deeply personal, and thoughtfully tailored to the people who live there.

We are looking for an exceptional early-career designer who is excited by the opportunity of
joining a studio during its formative years and helping shape what it becomes.

This is an opportunity to work directly with the Principal Designer and gain experience across every aspect of the business, including design development, client presentations, construction coordination, procurement, installations, and the daily operations of a growing practice.

This role is ideal for someone who is energized by variety. Some days you’ll be developing millwork details, others you’ll be visiting job sites, sourcing materials, preparing client presentations, or solving unexpected challenges.

As a small studio, every team member has meaningful influence. We value curiosity, initiative, adaptability, and a genuine desire to learn. If you’re someone who notices the details, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in your work, you’ll thrive here.

Responsibilities & Opportunities:
You’ll contribute to a wide range of design and project coordination tasks, including:
  • Research furniture, lighting, textiles, finishes, and materials
  • Project manage, create schedules, track items, communicate with vendors, and use Studio Designer
  • Assist with material palettes and finish selections
  • Participate in client presentations, design meetings, and take and distribute notes
  • Create presentation boards and design packages
  • Develop furniture layouts and space planning studies
  • Draft floor plans, elevations, and custom millwork details

Qualifications:
We’re looking for someone who is:
  • Passionate about residential interior design and eager to build a long-term career
  • Curious, self-motivated, and excited to learn
  • Highly organized and comfortable adapting to changing priorities
  • Thoughtful, professional, and detail-oriented
  • Proficient in SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign), and Microsoft Office / Google Workspace. AutoCAD is a plus
  • Able to read architectural drawings and construction documents
  • Based in the Los Angeles area with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • A degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture. One to three years of professional experience is preferred, although exceptional recent graduates will be considered.

Why Join Alison Davis Interiors:
This is a unique opportunity to grow alongside a young studio where your ideas and initiative will genuinely matter. Rather than specializing in just one aspect of the profession, you’ll gain broad experience across design, construction, procurement, and client relationships while helping shape the future of a growing practice.

If you’re looking for meaningful mentorship, thoughtful work, and the opportunity to build
something from the ground up, we’d love to hear from you.
