Job Summary:

The Paraplanner / Associate Financial Planner (Part-Time, Hybrid) supports client service, financial planning, investment operations, and practice management alongside senior advisors. This entry-to-associate level position offers structured mentorship with a clear path to advance into a full-time Associate Advisor role within 3 to 12 months.

Daily Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare for client meetings by organizing agendas, account summaries, financial planning materials, and follow-up action items.  
  • Gather and enter client financial data into CRM (Wealthbox) and financial planning software (RightCapital).  
  • Process client service requests, including account openings, custodial documentation, transfers, and beneficiary updates.  
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining financial plans, retirement projections, cash flow models, and portfolio reports.  
  • Participate in client meetings with senior advisors, taking notes and presenting assigned plan sections as experience grows.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and high discretion with confidential financial data.  
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Tech-savvy with comfort using or learning financial planning software, CRMs, document management tools, and spreadsheets.  
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule including at least two days per week in the West Los Angeles office.  
  • Series 65 licensed or willing to pass the exam within the first 60 days of employment (firm reimburses exam fees); CFP® coursework or background in finance/accounting is a plus.
