About the Position:
We are seeking a motivated, professional, and experienced Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned residential properties in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, a customer-service mindset, and hands-on experience in residential property management.
 
The Property Manager will be responsible for tenant relations, leasing, rent collection, maintenance coordination, property inspections, reporting, and supervision of leasing and maintenance staff.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with maintaining strong property occupancy and delinquency rates.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of available rental units.
  • Ensure the property provides a safe, well-maintained, and exceptional living environment for residents.
  • Process lease applications and assist with rent collection.
  • Prepare and serve appropriate notices regarding rent increases, delinquent rent, lease violations, and other tenancy matters.
  • Conduct scheduled move-in and move-out inspections.
  • Greet prospective residents, answer questions, and provide tours of the community and available units as needed.
  • Maintain accurate traffic reports and follow up with prospective residents.
  • Assist with planning and participating in resident activities and community events.
  • Maintain compliance with Fair Housing laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Prepare and update reports for the Property Supervisor and Senior Management as required.
  • Supervise leasing and maintenance staff and support a positive, productive work environment.
  • Conduct routine property inspections and communicate maintenance or service needs to the appropriate staff.
  • Assist leasing consultants with training, motivation, coaching, and role-playing when needed.
  • Provide leasing support by following up on leads, telephone inquiries, and guest cards.
  • Prepare weekly traffic and renewal status reports.
  • Work closely with the Company's Corporate and Back-Office Teams as needed.
  • Perform other property management and administrative duties as assigned.
     
Required Qualifications & Skills:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience managing an apartment community or residential property; 2 years of property management experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Fair Housing rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of Section 8 / Housing Choice Voucher programs.
  • At least 1 year of experience with YARDI or other property management software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid and unexpired California Driver's License.
  • Reliable personal vehicle with current California auto insurance registered in the applicant's name.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with management and team members.
  • Experience in Affordable Housing is a plus.
  • Bilingual or multilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in English, Spanish, and/or any other language
