Beginning Yiddish

In this course, we learn to read and write, hold short conversations and begin growing our knowledge of grammar, vocabulary and culture. We begin with printed and cursive letters, basic greetings and how to conjugate verbs in the present tense. We also learn numbers, colors, dates and times—and we play games, recite songs and poems, and begin to see glimpses of the Yiddish world, past and present.
