About This Course

With emerging AI technologies integrating on every aspect of our lives, it’s more important than ever to understand how the industry benefits from experienced human readers doing coverage on scripts, and what writers can learn from doing script coverage work themselves, without the assistance of AI. In this course, we consider how there’s no replicating human emotion or lived-experiences when it comes to AI, and how AI coverage can only make suggestions from data fed to the system (copyright problems and all) – and not offer brand new ideas the way humans can bring to the table, especially experienced readers. Additionally, we discuss how aspiring writers can learn so much from reading and analyzing scripts – what works and what doesn’t work – in what can become a field of study on its own. Finally, we’ll open the floor to questions, to have a friendly discussion about AI and the future of our industry.
