COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Information for International Students
All UCLA Extension classes will be online for Spring and Summer Quarter 2020.
New students: In Spring and Summer 2020, UCLA Extension offers remote learning only. You may register for programs at any time before the program start date. The I-20 to obtain a student visa is not required and is not available. Visitors and permanent residents in the U.S., and international participants may enroll remotely. Note: There are no housing accommodations on campus in summer.
Students already in the U.S. with an F-1 Visa: The ACC program is not approved for F-1 visa status.

American Culture and Communication (ACC)
American Culture and Communication (ACC) is a part-time option of the Intensive English Communication Program (IECP) that helps participants improve English skills while learning about American culture and life in Southern California.
Classes are held in the morning with three 50 minute sessions. Topics include pop culture, American TV and movies, media studies, grammar, idioms and slang, business English, and more.
Enroll in ACC if you:
- Want to study part time and don’t have an F-1 student visa
- Want to improve your listening and speaking skills
- Want to learn about American culture and life in Southern California
In order to enroll, participants must be 18 years of age or older at the start of the program.
