COVID-19 Information for International Students
All UCLA Extension classes are online for Summer Quarter 2020.
New students outside the U.S. and permanent residents of the U.S. In Summer 2020, UCLA Extension offers remote learning only. You may register at any time before the program start date. Please note: The I-20 to obtain a student visa and medical insurance coverage are not required and are not available. Student services fees will be reduced accordingly at checkout. There are no housing accommodations on campus in summer.
Students already in the U.S. with a F-1 Visa: The ACC program is not approved for F-1 visa status.

American Culture and Communication (ACC)
American Culture and Communication (ACC) is a part-time option of the Intensive English Communication Program (IECP) that helps participants improve English skills while learning about American culture and life in Southern California.
Classes are held in the morning with three 50 minute sessions. Topics include pop culture, American TV and movies, media studies, grammar, idioms and slang, business English, and more.
Enroll in ACC if you:
- Want to study part time and don’t have an F-1 student visa
- Want to improve your listening and speaking skills
- Want to learn about American culture and life in Southern California
In order to enroll, participants must be 18 years of age or older at the start of the program.
