Build an exciting career that combines design, environmental stewardship, and sustainability. Landscape architecture is a growing, dynamic field with plenty of career opportunities for qualified professionals.

Our certificate is a graduate-level, 3-year program designed for the working adult, with night and weekend classes.

With a 40+ year heritage, our hands-on program is highly regarded within the industry. Approved by the Landscape Architects Technical Committee (LATC) to meet the education requirements for licensure in California, we provide rigorous preparation to enter the field.

When you need the technical skills to enter the field, our curriculum provides the highest standards of professional practice, with access to inspirational instructors and supportive classmates. Our classes are taught by practicing landscape architects, as well as industry professionals. Students work on real-world projects that focus on real sites, solutions, and clients.

Students also benefit from networking and development opportunities. We have an active student community, including a student chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects, and our annual student show is juried by many high-profile landscape architects in the region.

Our curriculum is approved by the California Architects Board Landscape Architects Technical Committee to meet the education requirements for licensure in California.

This program teaches students how to move through the entire design process from concept to construction documents. The emphasis on practical applications, over the theoretical, prepares students to immediately and confidently enter the profession of landscape architecture.
