About This Course
This intensive course is designed for individuals interested in investing in real estate and will provide a foundational primer to assist in making informed investment decisions. Participants will explore: (i) the fundamental considerations underlying investment real estate; (ii) essential financial calculations for underwriting investments; (iii) an analysis of associated risk factors; (iv) considerations when choosing which product type suits the investor’s capabilities, risk appetite and financial goals; (v) property management/operations plan after acquisition; and (vi) alternatives to direct investment in physical properties.
Additionally, participants will be introduced to potential career paths in real estate acquisitions, including obtaining a real estate license, and how such careers may provide students with opportunities to gain experience before making their own investment decisions. The curriculum will cover various segments of real estate, including office, retail, industrial, multifamily, residential, and other forms of commercial properties, delivered through a world-renowned university in an engaging in-person learning experience led by seasoned real estate professionals and entrepreneurs with real world experience.
This course is designed to be an interactive and immersive experience, featuring an-online session and two-in-person meetings.
Upon completion of the course, participants will: (i) gain an understanding of the fundamentals of real estate investment; (ii) assess whether real estate investing aligns with their wealth-building aspirations; and (iii) begin the development of a strategic plan for a future in real estate investment.
