Plumbing Systems II: Advanced Engineering Systems
This course provides an in-depth training on a comprehensive plumbing design, calculations and code requirements of advanced plumbing systems.
What you can learn.
- Design, calculate, and define code requirements of advanced plumbing systems
- Apply plumbing common practices of storm water systems, pumps and pumping systems, automatic fire sprinkler, standpipe systems, gaseous agent suppression systems, and medical gas systems
- Describe specialized water treatment systems and fuel oil systems, and evaluate their required specialized piping materials
About this course:This PSD II Course benefits individuals who are familiar with Basic Plumbing Design and Fundamental Engineering Practices. This course builds on X400-8, Plumbing System Design (PSD) 1. Weekly lectures are every Tuesday evening at 6:00 PM, PST and last 30 to 60 minutes. Included is a discussion of the topics listed in the course module. A discussion of the piping materials needed for each type of system is reviewed. Week 11 is reserved for student input, and a topic for discussion will be selected at the conclusion of the Week 10 lecture.
