Amy Morse

Amy Bullock Morse received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology. She also holds master’s degrees in clinical psychology and education. Dr. Morse is a post-doctoral fellow in pediatric psychology and specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents with chronic medical conditions and comorbid mental health concerns. Her current research interests include the use of acceptance and commitment therapy to improve quality of life and emotional functioning in adolescents with chronic medical conditions. Dr. Morse joined UCLA Extension in 2011 and currently serves as an instructor and course developer.

Prior to her doctoral studies, Dr. Morse served as the Director of the Chase Child Life Program at Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA. Within the Department of Pediatrics, Dr. Morse was a leader in Family-Centered Care initiatives and collaboratively developed multiple programs to enhance quality services in pediatrics. Prior to working with UCLA Health System, Dr. Morse served as the Director of Square One, a non-profit focused on early intervention, in Virginia, Child Life Educator and Community Outreach Coordinator at UCI Medical Center, Child Life Specialist at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and adjunct faculty at Bank Street College. Dr. Morse has presented internationally on topics ranging from child development to mental health. She is committed to improving access to high quality mental health services in southern California.

Amy lives with her husband and two children in southern California. She enjoys running, tap dancing, painting, and relaxing at the beach.
