Clarence has unique perspective from hands-on application of ARGUS having worked on investment opportunities covering across all major commercial real estate asset classes, including office, retail, industrial, and multifamily, both on the investment sales and owner-operator sides of the business. He is an AVP, Acquisitions at Rhino Investments Group and part-time UCLA Extension Instructor teaching ARGUS Enterprise. Most recently he was an Acquisitions and Development Associate at Wood Investments focused on retail.
He was previously an Acquisitions Analyst at BKM Capital Partners, a real estate owner-operator and fund manager focused on acquiring small and mid-bay light industrial multi-tenant business parks in major metros across the Western U.S. (AZ, CA, CO, NV, OR, UT, WA) and creating value via strategic upgrades, hands-on management, and adaptive repositioning. In his role, he underwrote acquisition and disposition/recapitalization opportunities.
Before that, Clarence was an Asset Management Associate at Harbor Associates, an owner-operator w/ institutional LPs focused on value-add and covered land play office/flex investments located in Southern California and Denver markets. Prior to joining Harbor, Clarence worked for South Street Partners where he underwrote value-add office opportunities in the West and Southeast.
Clarence started out on the investment sales side as a Manager and Lead Financial Analyst at Faris Lee Investments focused on multi-tenant retail dispositions including unanchored strip, neighborhood/community centers, and regional malls across the US. Clarence also has underwritten value-add multifamily in the West and Sunbelt for MIG Real Estate, and core/core-plus office in Denver for KORE Investments.
Over his career, Clarence has underwritten over $5B in commercial real estate investments across the US and has been involved in closing over $550MM. He also has held previous roles in commercial real estate research and analytics at CoStar as a Research Manager for Denver, Salt Lake City, and Kansas City, and as a Senior Market Analyst for the US. covering all property types. Clarence holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from UC San Diego and Masters of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) from University of San Diego (USD). While attending graduate school, he was a member of the 1st place USD MSRE team for the ARGUS Software University Challenge. He also earned his Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation and ARGUS software certification (ASC).
