Jessica Greenfield

Jessica Greenfield is an LA-based artist and designer with an enthusiasm for combining handmade and digital processes. As Senior Graphic Designer at Hillstone Restaurant Group she collaborates with architects, interior designers, and operations teams to create identity and signage systems for restaurants all over the country.

Jessica holds an MFA in Graphic Design from the Rhode Island School of Design, and a BFA in Painting and Printmaking from Carnegie Mellon University. Her background in painting gives her an appreciation for the visual beauty inherent in a flawlessly typeset page. She welcomes the constraints of the typographic process as an invitation for creative solutions, and her experience in letterpress printing provides a foundation in the physicality of historical typesetting that carries over into her digital work.

She has taught at the Rhode Island School of Design and Arizona State University, and is currently an instructor at UCLA’s Extension program. As an educator, she endeavors to strike a balance between cultivating an appreciation for the rules and structure of design and inspiring students to embrace their creativity and broaden their perspectives.
