Scot Pansing

Scot Pansing has a robust background in technology management, project leadership, and a deep personal interest in AI, including accountability, policy, safety, and ethics. His career has spanned over 20 years at companies like Capitol Records, The Walt Disney Company, and Google. In and out of these roles, he has cultivated a rich expertise in policy communications, brand safety, and AI, along with hands-on experience in programming languages and AI tools like ChatGPT and Stable Diffusion.

This unique blend of technical and project management skills and practical experience in policy has positioned Scot ideally to contribute to our educational program in Artificial Intelligence Technology Management. He will be able to leverage his experience to inspire and educate future leaders, emphasizing the importance of ethical considerations, policy, compliance, and the broad societal impacts of AI.

Scot is currently a member of the Dean’s Board of Advisors at UCLA Extension where he collaborates with the school’s leadership team to develop and manage a portfolio of academic and non-academic offerings.
