Intro to Biology of Wild Animals in in Human Care

What is wildlife biology, and how do we study it? What is "good" science? Offered in conjunction with the Los Angeles Zoo, this course will introduce students to studying the biology of wild animals at the LA Zoo.
What you can learn.
- Learn about the scientific method
- Practice how biologists use science to gather information and make decisions about wildlife species
- Emphasize how hypothesis testing allows us to clarify relationships between organisms and their environment
- Observe how controlled experiments are used to determine cause and effect
