About this course:
Free and open-source, Blender has become increasingly important to Web3D world builders, AR and VR developers, animators, and anyone looking to work in spatial media. In this practical, hands-on course, students learn the Blender interface and how to customize it to their workflow preferences. Instruction covers modeling and editing tools, creating materials and textures, UV maps, basic animation, organizing projects, and optimizing assets for a variety of spatial media projects. Students will output various projects in a series of live workshop session and lectures. No prior experience necessary.
Designed with a cross-disciplinary approach that incorporates art, technology, and business, the UCLA Extension Immersive Media Program investigates new frontiers and applications in Immersive Media.
