Our interdisciplinary program is comprised of courses that provide a strong foundation for understanding the complex relationship between humans and the environment. Gain a multidisciplinary perspective on a variety of environmental issues, including air and water pollution, population growth and distribution, global climate changes, ecosystems and evolution, agriculture and food resources, and renewable and nonrenewable energy. Issues are addressed from a local, national, and international perspective as well as from a human and physical perspective, which provides the comprehensive knowledge base necessary for career enhancement or attending graduate school.
Public Policy Offerings
UCLA Extension offers workshops and courses that cover a wide variety of topics, such as the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), Cannabis Policy, and the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO).
