Upon completing the program, students are better prepared to evaluate their organization, assess why a specific area may be underperforming, and know how to make corrections. 

The Post-MBA Program is offered each Fall and Spring.  Receive six hours of instruction on each of ten key topics. See course curriculum below.

Required Course

Course Curriculum

Each course module consists of three 2-hour meetings, for a total of six instructional hours per topic.

Digital Transformation
Preparing and implementing an effective digital transformation plan. Measurements for effectiveness and dealing with mid-plan course adjustments.

Communications in the Technology Age
Remote work, Chat Bots, Video Interviewing, Zoom Meetings, the increased role of email, text messaging, slack, and other communication platforms, 24/7 access through smart phones. Communications has changed significantly within companies. What are some of the underlying rules of communication that should drive the use of technology and an assessment of its effectiveness in today’s culture.

Cybersecurity
Cybersecurity is a critical component of any business operation in this technology driven age. Learn what are the fundamental pieces that must be in place, how to access where your company stands and how to you prepare for what comes next?

Principles of AI
Artificial Intelligence is only as good as the database(s) that support it. Learn about some of the ways AI is used for supply chain management, client’s services, marketing, accounting, and auditing. Find out what is needed for these applications to work effectively. Learn how prepared you are to take advantage of some of this technology.

Database Management
Big data and database management is the foundation for Fintech and AI. You are not a data scientist and you don’t do coding so what do you need to know about this field and the systems? Understand what is needed to better utilize and improve the effectiveness of your company in this area.

HR in the COVID 19 – Digital Age
Phone interviews, video interviews, screening software, remote work environments, return to work protocols and how new forms of communication have impacted employee interactions are all at the forefront of discussions about HR today. What are the ground rules, how do you facilitate or participate in these discussions and how to you access your strategy to make real time and critical adjustments?

Digital Marketing
Learn what is digital marketing, how to create a campaign and how to measure its effectiveness.

Blockchain
Review blockchain basics, what are the fundamentals for rolling out an implementation plan and key considerations in applying this technology.

Bloomberg Training
The Bloomberg Terminal is a powerful tool in finance. The Bloomberg Certification training is included in this module with the added advantage of being able to go through the training with a cohort of other students and with live sessions lead by an instructor who uses this tool daily. Gain the certification and learn about the real-world applications at the same time.

Project Management
Recap the fundamental skills to ensure everyone begins at the same place and then review common mistakes, learn how to identify them and how to correct them.

Risk Management
Risk management is always a balance between eliminating risk, mitigating risk, insuring or sharing the risk and simply knowing the risk is there but taking no action. Discuss how do you access which tactic is appropriate, how to you implement systems to measure risk and how to you deal with and correct breakdowns in those systems?

Sustainability
Sustainability is a diverse topic.  Going green can be everything from carpools and public transportation to Leed Certified buildings; from purchasing green products from suppliers to recycling programs. How do you evaluate the efforts your company is making and what would be the next step in improving your carbon footprint? Learn to create a scorecard that you can use to determine your next steps.

Workspace Management
Last year if you were discussing workplace management you might have been talking about ergonomics and adjustable desktops. Today you will be talking about high touch areas, barriers, air flow and possibly a reduction in the need for office space.  Inclusion and communications with your staff will be key. Talk to professionals about what this process should look like and how get staff to buy into the decisions and processes being implemented.


Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity
This is a hot topic but also a difficult topic for many businesses. Is the leadership and the corporate culture willing to change, do they know how to go about creating change at such a fundamental level?  Awareness is an important first step. Discuss ways of creating awareness as the first step in moving the needle within your company.

Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
