Commercial real estate is a dynamic segment of the real estate industry that focuses on the sale, lease, development, management, financing and/or investment of commercial properties such as hotels, strip malls, shopping centers, office buildings, warehouses, and large multi-family complexes. 

Our program provides affordable and comprehensive commercial real estate training that prepares you for a career in the industry. All courses are taught by working industry professionals who bring their real-world experience to the classroom and combine it with a curriculum approved by the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Take advantage of valuable networking opportunities with instructors and other students, many of whom are also real estate professionals. 

Whether you’re a newcomer or a working real estate professional, our commercial real estate certificate program prepares you for the many career paths available in the world of commercial real estate.

Format: Online or in person. Can be completed 100% online.

Prerequisites

MGMT X 475.1 Real Estate Principles (or equivalent) and MGMT 891.02 Business Ethics.

Students with a current California salesperson/broker license should consult with the certificate advisor to waive the prerequisite requirement.

Courses are recommended to be taken in the order listed above, starting with the Fundamentals of Commercial Real Estate, and can be taken concurrently. Students must take all courses for a letter grade and pass with a program GPA of 2.50 or better.

An internship in real estate can provide you with practical experience in a variety of real estate job functions. To be eligible for the internship, students are to complete all the required courses within the certificate with a GPA of 3.0 or better before applying and enrolling in the internship course.
