Doug Bolin
has been successfully designing, producing and managing award-winning user experience, content strategy, new media and television projects for over 30 years. He has worked with a variety of international companies on large scale, multi-year engagements, rich in both functionality and content. He is also a passionate UX thought leader and educator, speaking at conferences and teaching courses as an adjunct professor for over 15 years. His B.S is from Emory University and his M.A from the University of Minnesota, both in developmental psychology, focused on cognitive psychology and media. His work has won a range of awards including AIGA Web Design Awards, Emmy Awards, The DuPont-Columbia Award, The NEA National Media Award and the AAAS National Science Journalism Award. His wife, Kay Ruane, is an artist, and they live in Silver Lake with their two cats, Yuki and Noodles. In his spare time, Doug makes and exhibits video art and one-of-a-kind pinback buttons.
